Shop Policies

Aurora Automotive is happy to provide for your automotive care and needs. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of some simple shop policies that we have in place to give you a better experience while you are working with us. 



In the event that you are dropping off a vehicle to be serviced with us, we kindly ask that you remove any valuables from the vehicle and make sure that it is secure and locked before handing the keys over to us. We just want to ensure that your belongings and property are safe while your vehicle is here being serviced. Aurora Automotive is not responsible for any loss or theft of belongings or vehicles in the event of a fire, act of nature, theft, or any other cause beyond our control.  This will apply to any drop off at any time of day. If you are dropping a vehicle off after hours, there is a lock box for your keys on the north side of the building. We strongly encourage you to put your keys in there, and not to leave them in the vehicle. There is a paper pad and a pen in the lock box for your convenience as well, we strongly encourage you to leave us notes about your vehicle or any contact information we may need. Be descriptive as this will reduce the time spent determining your specific issue,

All repairs and services are to be paid in full before the vehicle can be removed from the property. We do charge a 4% fee on all credit and debit card transactions. Checks can be made out to Aurora Automotive.  We however, do wish to extend a reasonable amount of grace in any circumstance. We also offer financing through Synchrony if that is an option you'd like to take advantage of. In extreme cases, if you are unable to pay in full, we will enact an express garagekeeper's lien to pay for the service as defined in Minnesota Statute 514.20 SALE.

When your vehicle repair or service is complete, you will be notified via phone call, text, and/or email. If you cannot pick up your vehicle or secure payment on the day of completion, you may pick it up the next day. In the circumstance that your vehicle is still parked on the property for longer than 5 business days we will begin to charge you a storage fee for the vehicle. This will be $30 per day that the vehicle is parked on the property. This will only occur AFTER the repair and/or service is completed or declined. This will not apply to vehicles that are waiting to be serviced.
